FICE International (Fédération Internationale des Communautés Educatives) is a global network of organizations and professionals in the field of child and youth care and out-of-home care from more than 45 countries. FICE maintains contacts with UNESCO, UNICEF, the Council of Europe and ECOSOC. It is also a member of the UN-NGO-Group on the Rights of the Child and member of ENSACT.

The first Fice international scientific world congress was organized in 1948 in Trogen, Switzerland and has so far passed through almost all European countries, but this is the first time that it will be organized in Croatia, Split on beautiful Adriatic coast.

The organization of the Fice international scientific World Congress in the region has been a tradition since early 60s:

In 1964 in Ljubljana „Activity and engagement of youth through children’s communities“

In 1974 in Banja Luka „Analysis of the possibilities and goals for the treatment and rehabilitation of at-risk youth“

In 2006 in Sarajevo „Building a positive future despite a childhood of hardships“

The last, 34th FICE international conference was held in Tel Aviv, Israel.
